Bio

For more than 32 years, I have focused on comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages, ethnicity, financial backgrounds, and health issues.  As a dentist, my goal is to provide the best treatment for my patients and educating them on its effect on their life-long dental health.

Comprehensive dentistry goes beyond just your teeth, gums and jaw. It incorporates your whole being and how optimal dental care affects your overall health – physically and mentally. We achieve this through preventative, restorative and cosmetic procedures.

Some of the cases I’ve completed include full mouth reconstruction that involved oral surgery, implant restoration, veneers, bleaching, and fixed and removable dentures. Additionally, I treat orthodontic cases with Invisalign® appliances. I have also treated mild to moderate sleep apnea utilizing mandibular-advancing devices and migraine headaches and grinding cases with several types of oral devices.

From June of 2011 through May 2018, I was on the faculty of Midwestern University – College of Dental Medicine as an adjunct clinical professor. I was involved with the hands-on training of the students who represent the next generation of dentists. I’m very proud of my affiliation with this prestigious university.

Volunteering and contribution are an important part of my life. I believe we have a responsibility to help those less fortunate than ourselves and support them in ways that improve their lives. Over the years, I have:

• Participated in the Chicago Bears Team Smile event providing underprivileged children with dental care
• Traveled to several Illinois migrant worker outreach facilities and supervised dental students in triage-style dentistry performed on farmworkers and their children
•  Provided pro bono dentistry for the Thai Buddhist monks of Wat Dhammaram Buddhist Temple in Chicago
•  Sent my dental books to the new dental school in Cambodia 
•  Donated a large supply of dental instruments to clinics in Chicago and Zambia

In the past, I have supported the following:

• Donated Dental Services: caring for the aged and very ill
• One Acre Fund: provides land and sustainable farming techniques to farmers in Kenya resulting in reduced child mortality and increased family incomes
• Susan G. Komen for the Cure®: Breast cancer research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 50 countries
• St. Baldrick Foundation: Childhood cancer research in the United States and 28 countries 
• Berwyn-area Boy Scouts: annual blanket and community food drives

I am a life-long resident of the Chicago area and currently reside in the western suburbs.
