Tetyana Wozny, DDS, Family & Cosmetic Dentist

The most gratifying part of being a dentist is being able to help someone. Whether it be easing their pain or anxiety, changing their smile or just listening to their story. Not only do you get the satisfaction of helping, but you've also made a connection with someone.

I believe in order to provide the most comprehensive care, education is key. I began pursuing dentistry after working as a dental assistant for a general dentist. During my undergraduate studies at University of Illinois I majored in biology and minored in chemistry. I continued on to Southern Illinois University to study what I love- dentistry. It quickly became apparent that dentistry is not only a science, but an art as well. While rebuilding a tooth to the proper function, you must also return it to the its natural anatomy and symmetry. It requires manual dexterity and innovation to create a replica of our natural teeth. These are skills that take time and passion to cultivate. Taking advantage of the excellent education provided by SIU I graduated Magna Cum Laude when I attained my DMD degree.

After graduation, I immediately moved back to Chicago to serve the community I grew up in. In 2008 I began working at Webster Dental Care. Here I found a wonderful office and family where I can pursue my goal of providing excellent dental care. The advantage of working for Webster is the network of dental specialists I have the opportunity to collaborate with. This provides me with the ability to create a comprehensive and organized treatment plan for my patients.

I married my husband Danylo Melnyk in June 2011 and live with our puggle Bella in Edgebrook. We were both raised in the ukrainian community and grew up speaking the language.
