Make sure your filling is a successful procedure for the long term, follow these simple instructions to care for it:
- If an anesthetic was used to perform your procedure, try not to chew any food or
gum until the numbness has ended
- Resume with a normal brushing and flossing routine
- Use a sensitivity toothpaste if you have issues with hot or cold sensitivity
- Use a warm salt water rinse several times a day
If you have any increase in swelling or pain or your filling feels loose or crooked, feel free to call us. However, it is normal to feel some discomfort for a few days after the procedure.
