I attended Loyola University and then went on to the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and received my dental degree in 1969. Following graduation I served as a member of the faculty in the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Occlusion. I was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
I am a continuous student and believe in being on the cutting edge of my profession. For over 30 years I have been a volunteer evaluator for Clinicians Report. I am one of a select group of dentists worldwide who has participated in numerous research projects designed to evaluate many of the products and techniques currently used in dentistry. This has allowed me to stay on the cutting edge of my profession.
I believe in giving back to the community and am an annual participant in the Special Olympic Special Smiles program. In addition, I am a participant in a program that provides dental care for survivors of the Holocaust.
I have been active in organized dentistry for over 40 years. I recently completed a 6 year commitment on the administrative committee of Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, serving as the International President in 2009. I have also served the University of Illinois College of Dentistry Alumni Association and the Chicago Dental Society in various capacities. I have been honored by my alma mater with the Distinguished Alumnus Award and the UIC All Campus Distinguished Alumnus Award. I hold Fellowships in the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists and the Academy of General Dentistry.
