Bio

Dr. John Torphy, D.D.S. was born in Chicago and is originally from the Pilsen area. Dr. Torphy enjoys general dentistry because it allows him to treat a vast group of patients with unique needs, making every day a new adventure. He prides himself on listening to each patient’s needs and presenting them with a treatment plan that helps them reach their goals. Dr. Torphy attends seminars and takes online courses to stay current with new methods and technology in dentistry.

Dr. Torphy attended DePaul University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then studied at Marquette University Dental School and graduated in 1987 with his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Torphy is married and has three daughters; he enjoys going on trips and spending time with his family. Dr. Torphy also enjoys kayaking and relaxing by a lake. He is a classic car enthusiast and an aquarium hobbyist, so if you ever need help with a fish tank don’t hesitate to ask!
