Dental Implant Restoration

Dental Implant Restoration must be cared for to ensure long term success. Follow some of these tips for best results:

  • If an anesthetic was used to perform your procedure, try not to chew any food or gum until the numbness has ended.
  • Avoid hard foods that will cause you to grind your teeth.
  • If you grind your teeth at night, let us know and we will discuss wearing a nightguard.
  • Resume your brushing and flossing routine, but be gentle. We may recommend a water pick, interproximal brush or specialty floss.
  • Make sure to visit us for professional cleanings on a regular basis (usually every 3-6 months).

If you have any increase in bleeding or pain or other unusual issues, feel free to call us. However, it is normal to feel some pain and discomfort for a few days after the procedure.
