After your Periodontal Surgery, make sure you follow these simple directions:
Rest after your procedure, use gauze in your mouth if there is still bleeding.
If an anesthetic was used, try not to chew any food or gum until the numbness has ended.
Resume normal brushing avoiding the treated area.
Take your medications or antibiotics (if prescribed) as stated by the physician.
Rinse your mouth with salt water up to 3 times a day to reduce swelling.
There will most likely be discomfort for a few days after your procedure. However, if bleeding does not stop or pain increases, please call our office with your concerns.
