After practicing general dentistry for five years, Dr. Asim Awan soon realized that his true passion was working with kids and loved the idea of doing so. He decided to return to school and in 2014, he received his specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Northwestern University/Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital. He is comfortable treating children of all ages and is expertly trained in working with children requiring special needs. His philosophy is to educate and encourage his patients to maintain healthy eating habits while emphasizing its affect on their oral health.

Dr. Asim believes that communication between the parents, children, and dentist is key to leading that child on a path to optimal oral health. His gentle and patient demeanor will help keep your child at ease and focused throughout their dental appointment. He stays current with the latest technology and techniques through continuing education and currently serves as the attending Pediatric Dentistry Physician for the residents at Northwestern Hospital /Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.

For Dr. Asim, it’s not all work and no play. He enjoys live music, snowboarding, and is a self proclaimed movie fanatic. Also, growing up in the Chicago area, he is a diehard Chicago sports fan.
