Dr. Jodie Dorj grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She then went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from Rush University where she had the opportunity to work in head and neck cancer clinical research at Northwestern Medical Center. Finally, Dr. Dorj pursued her Doctor in Dental Medicine degree from University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.
Dr. Dorj discovered her passion for dentistry at a very young age as she was born with a rare enamel disorder that made her teeth extremely sensitive and prone to breakage. This required frequent visits to the dental office, where she came to realize that her life-long mission was to help others improve their oral health and achieve their best smile. From her personal experience, Dr. Dorj understands the patient perspective and treats her patients with compassion and empathy. Her favorite part of dentistry is meeting new people and learning about their story and background. She takes genuine interest in her patients and will always remember something about you!
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Dorj loves spending time with her rescued German Shepherd, running by the lakefront and doing improv comedy in Chicago. She also loves ‘dad jokes’ and would be thrilled to hear any.
