Bio

Dr. Therese Murphy-Swanson has been in dentistry for the past 43 years. She practiced as a Certified Dental Assistant and a Registered Dental Hygienist before obtaining her D.D.S. Degree from Loyola University in 1987. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is certified as an Invisalign Provider. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Murphy-Swanson also serves as an active member of DMORT as a forensic dentist. DMORT is a Federal Level Response Team designed to provide mortuary assistance in the case of a mass fatality incident. Dr. Swanson has been deployed to the 9/11 World Trade Center, Hurricane Charley, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Rita, the Haiti earthquake, and the Joplin, Missouri tornado. She also assisted the city of New York for 3 weeks during the COVID-19 crisis. Outside the dental field, she enjoys time walking and spending time with her three children and two dogs.

She has been involved in the dental profession since she was 18 years old and has loved the profession since then. Over her dental experience, she has been a receptionist in an Oral Surgery office, dental assistant, dental hygienist, and general dentist. She always has a positive attitude and enjoys helping people of all ages improve their oral health.
